How much subsidy can I get for a home solar system?
Under PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, residential consumers get ₹30,000 per kW for the first 2 kW and ₹18,000 for the 3rd kW — a maximum of ₹78,000 for 3 kW and above. Housing societies get ₹18,000 per kW for common facilities.
Who is eligible for the PM Surya Ghar subsidy?
An Indian household with its own roof and a valid residential electricity connection (MSEDCL in Nashik) that has not already taken a solar subsidy. We check your eligibility for free.
How much roof space do I need?
Roughly 80–100 sq. ft of shadow-free roof per kW. A typical 3 kW home system needs about 250–300 sq. ft.
How long does installation take?
Installation itself usually takes 1–3 days for homes. Net-meter approval and subsidy release depend on MSEDCL and the portal; we follow up at every stage.
Does solar work in the monsoon or on cloudy days?
Yes. Output is lower on heavily overcast days, but annual generation in Nashik is excellent — about 4 units per kW per day on average. With net-metering, surplus from sunny days offsets cloudy days.
Do I need batteries?
Not for on-grid systems — the grid works as your “battery” through net-metering. If you face frequent power cuts, we offer hybrid systems with battery backup.
What maintenance is needed?
Just periodic cleaning of panels with plain water and an annual health check. Panels carry long performance warranties of 25 years and above from the manufacturer.
Do you take up government and institutional projects?
Yes. We work with government offices, schools, hospitals, gram panchayats, co-operative societies and industries, and provide the documentation needed for tenders. Contact us for our company profile.
